In October 2021, my long-time dream came true – we flew to Rome. Our incredible Silvia arranged the trip for us, for which we are sincerely grateful to her.
Radu and I had been to Rome before, but only for one day, during our cruise. And even then, I began to dream of returning and just wandering the streets of Rome and enjoying the city and its beauty.

We rented an apartment in the very center right next to the Colosseum. It was a room with a window overlooking the well courtyard. There were three of us, with our Marcel. The hostess did not show up during our check-in and we had to sleep all together on the first night in one bed. And when she showed up, she started screaming loudly that she would call the police – we have no right to sleep like that!!!
It was her mistake because in the terms of our rental, we informed her that there were three of us. She corrected the mistake, but it was not easy for us – she did not understand a word of English, and we did not speak Italian.
But all this is nonsense – the main thing is that we are in Rome and can enjoy its beauty.
On the first evening, we went to a restaurant right next to the Colosseum, I remembered it from the time of our first visit – Radu and I drank coffee there!
I am not a fan of Italian cuisine, but our Marcel loves all this – pizzas, pastas and so on. So we enjoyed it.
We spent unforgettable days in Rome and will keep them in our memory for a long time!

Римські канікули. Жовтень, 2021

У жовтні 2021 року здійснилася моя давня мрія- ми полетіли до Риму. Поїздку для нас влаштувала наша неймовірна Сільвія, за що ми їй щиро вдячні.
Ми з Раду вже бували в Римі, але тільки один день, під час нашого круїзу. І вже тоді я почала мріяти про те, щоб повернутися і просто бродити вуличками Риму і насолоджуватися містом та його красою.
Ми винайняли квартиру в самому центрі прямо поряд з Колізеєм. Це була кімната, що виходила вікном у колодязний двір. Ми були втрьох з нашої Марсель. Хазяйка не з’явилася під час нашого поселення і нам довелося спати всім разом першу ніч на одному ліжку. А коли вона з’явилася, то стала голосно кричати, що викличе поліцію – ми не маємо права спати таким чином!
Це була її помилка, оскільки в умовах нашої оренди ми їй повідомляли про те, що нас троє. Вона помилку виправила, але з нею нам було не легко – вона ні слова не розуміла англійською, а ми не говорили італійською.
Але все це нісенітниця-головне ми в Римі і можемо насолоджуватися його красою.
Першого вечора ми пішли в ресторан прямо поряд з Колізеєм, я пам’ятала його ще з часу першого відвідування-ми з Раду пили там каву!
Я не прихильниця італійської кухні, зате наша Марсель дуже любить все це-піци, пасти та інше. Тож ми цим насолодилися.
Ми провели в Римі незабутні дні і довго зберігатимемо їх у нашій пам’яті!
