The photographs of this time are filled with warmth and light, such the unique sunlight of summer Odesa. All this cannot be returned. Children grow up, we get older, and time rushes forward. Прекрасне літо 2020. Одеса наше місто рідне. Як чудово було літо 2020 року. Сім’я, улюблене місто, прогулянки. Фотографії цього часу наповнені теплом та світлом, таким неповторним сонячним світлом літньої Одеси. Усього цього не повернути. Діти ростуть, ми стаємо старшими, а час мчить уперед.

Radu and I often changed our place of residence and we have practically no dependence on where we live. We got our first apartment in the Kotovskogo village; before that we lived first in my mother’s apartment on French Boulevard, and then in a hostel on Krasnova. Having settled in the village of Kotovskogo, we understood that there was no future for our children there and soon made an exchange and moved to the village of Tairov. The girls grew up there and flew out of the nest, and we flew after one of them and ended up in Cape Town. We lived there for almost 10 years. We sold the apartment in Tairova and bought a small apartment in Arcadia, where we dreamed of ending our days. But now this has become impossible, at least until the war ends. By the will of fate, I was born in the Bakhmut (Artemovsk), Donetsk region in Ukraine. I was born in the USSR. My name was Tanya Parovyshnik. My parents lived in Odesa. Father Dmitry Alexandrovich was a military pilot. He often went away on business trips and my mother had to give birth to me in Artemovsk (Bakhmut), her mother lived there. After spending several months in Artemovsk, I have never been there again. All this has been only 9 years since the end of the Second World War. Even though I was born in Artemovsk, I consider myself an Odessa citizen and I am very proud of it.     My first steps in art took place on Street in Odessa. We lived in a military town, and our mothers participated in amateur musical groups at the House of Officers, they played the harp. Children also took part in all the festive concerts, were snowflakes and penguins (they made beautiful costumes for us). Our party dresses were called tutus.
