Cape Town. Our walks. Sea Point Promenade.

Image
Our walks. The greatest pleasure for us was the opportunity to walk. Cape Town is so beautiful! We lived just 15 minutes walk from the ocean and his presence filled our apartment every day. By the soft roar of the ocean waves, we could determine from afar whether there was a storm or whether the weather was calm and wonderful opposite. Leaving our complex and turning to the left, we went down a narrow alley and first got to Main Road, Sea Point. There are many shops, shops, resta urants and cafes there. Main Road has its own amazing life and I will tell you about it and show you photos. Crossing this street and walking literally one block to the West, we find ourselves directly on Beach Road and a majestic ocean opens before our eyes. Here we have several opportunities at once - take a walk along the famous Sea Point Promenade or turn left and walk to Camps Bay Beach. I love both of these routes and I will tell you straight, this is a real pleasure. While I didn’t have an iPhone, I alw

Theo Birthday- 30th of October!

Image
October 30th is Theo's birthday! On October 30, 2009, another wonderful new member comes to our family - this is none other than Teodor Bronetsky, in his own person. Unlike all the previous appearances of our grandchildren, we were not with Sylvia at this important moment for her. This was all discussed earlier and Sylvia let us go. We didn't even worry about her - there was a loving husband next to her and we could be completely calm. Our Theo turns 11 this year, just like Charlotte. It is very interesting for me to watch him. Radu and I had no sons, but looking at Theo I can easily imagine what our son would be like - he is very, very similar to Sylvia and this is wonderful!

Cape Town. Fresnaye home.

Image
We were lucky to find an apartment for ourselves, in which we have lived for over 6 years. This was our apartment in a residential complex on Fresnaye. Sylvia in Odessa helped us rent our apartment in Odessa and we got a wonderful opportunity to pay rent. I must definitely tell you more about this wonderful place. Today I tried to find photographs that could illustrate my story. But I haven't found much yet. Fresnaye is considered the most comfortable area of Cape Town, as it is located directly under the Lion's Head. During my meditations, I often imagine myself as a mountain, namely the Lion's Head. The Lion's head is turned to the west and he always admires the sunset on the ocean coast. In meditations, I imagine how paragliders take off from my head, they slowly circle around me, delighting my eyes with their bright-coloured parachutes. Our complex is located, in my opinion, right on the soft and warm tummy of a lion. The complex consists of 4-storey houses, which

My stories and accumulated information

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b5C4PDh-758 As you understand, since my studies at the Institute of Tourism, I have accumulated a huge amount of interesting information. I would love to share it with you, but there is a fear that these posts will become boring and you will stop reading them. Therefore, I want to ask you, will you be interested in stories about the creation of South Africa, stories about African animals, their unique abilities and habits, about vegetation, about the life of tribes and about the legendary African warriors? I am full of information, like a river and I would be pleased to share it with YOU! There are really a lot of stories, and I want to know what will be especially interesting for you, my dear readers. I publish my notes 6 times a week and I was thinking about how I could divide these days into separate topics. Say - on Monday - stories about South Africa history, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday are my life stories, Friday - African legends, Saturday- an

My first excursion- exam.

First Excursion - exam If you have read carefully my stories about my studies at the Institute, then perhaps you remember that it was difficult for me to understand what they told us about in the lectures. Yes, and my knowledge of English, one might say, was not entirely excellent, but upon completion of classes and practice, I had to take an exam in English. Although I didn't need it for my future work, because I was going to become a guide and work with Russian-speaking clients. But that hour has come, we were loaded onto a minibus and we went on a city tour. When the bus stopped, our examiner called the name of the one who would lead the tour in this place. Nobody knew in advance what he would have to tell. My part of the excursion took place on HEREN GRACHT street, the first street of the future city of Cape Town, right next to one of the founders of the city, Commander Jan van Riebeck. And I started my story, almost everything was fine, there was only one mistake, or most like

Institute of Tourism. By the roads of the Western Cape. River Bred

Image
It was very interesting for me to follow the places where we were taken on excursions, but the choice of places was somewhat strange in my opinion. Perhaps the teachers had their own goals, but in my practice, this particular excursion was not relevant. The Breede River (Afrikaans: Breederivier), also known as the Bree River, flows through the Western Cape Province. The Brede River is a popular spot for rafting enthusiasts. The gently flowing water and the absence of crocodiles, hippos and mosquitoes make this a popular weekend getaway. Bull sharks often come here and live in the waters of the Breda River. These sharks were featured in the second season of River Monsters. Research shows that bull sharks come to these waters to steal catches from fishermen, which allows them to feed and gain weight without expending much energy. It also creates a healthy ecosystem for the river and results in very little or no shark attacks on humans in the area. Nobody gave us this information during t
