The surprises that Cape Town gives. Clifton and the boys.

The surprises that Cape Town gives. Clifton and the boys. On my first visit, I realized that this amazing city feels people and from time to time gives them incredible surprises. One day we were sunbathing on one of Clifton beaches. There are only four of them. About the beaches, I will tell you later, but for now about the surprise. We sunbathe, a group of young men descend to the beach, they are obviously foreigners and athletes, possibly Brazilians. They are in T-shirts with the number of players. They sit down and one of them takes out a guitar and begins to sing a song, I remember it! It was “Stop Mommy don’t cry” The song begins to sing along with all the young men. We admire what is happening and listen to the song. At this time, the beach ice-cream seller is approaching the young people, having heard the tune, he happily joins the young men and uses his refrigerator as a drum, a real session begins! I pull out the camera and take the pictures that I share

My hairstyle is bright red!

My hairstyle is bright red! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E92Bzc14eoI I prepared for the trip and Ira Sokolova, our family stylist, dyed my hair bright red. I walked around Cape Town and attracted attention and even received compliments, mainly from women. It was a pleasure. But when we got to Camps Bay, one of the best in the city, disappointment, and shame awaited me with my hairdo. It was not possible to swim in the ocean, it was very cold water. We are not used to this tempe rature. But there was a shower, and after you lay in the hot sun it was very nice to be under a stream of cold water. But, my beautiful hairstyle, after taking a shower, began to flow down the body onto the white sand, forming red lakes. It was not very aesthetically pleasing. We enjoyed new knowledge and discoveries. Somehow in the center of the city, a surprise awaited us - from time to time vegetable stalls were spread out, we stopped at one of them, we wanted to find out the cost of some f

Devil's Peak

Image
Devil's Peak The mountain with the formidable name Devil's Peak used to be named Windberg (mountain of wind). It is located on the right side of Table Mountain. The English term "Devil's Peak" comes from a folk tale about a Dutchman named Jan van Hanks, who was very fond of smoking. And the tale spoke of the following. Once, the residents of the city saw from Signal Hill that a ship had entered the harbor. And all the merchants hurried to the port. The ship moored and a man came out of it, in luxurious robes, silk pantaloons, and high-heeled shoes, with copper buckles. A hat with feathers decorated his head. When he came closer, the merchants were amazed to recognize in him, the former ranger, whom everyone considered to be missing. Not only was he dressed perfectly, but porters carried quite a few heavy treasure chests behind him. The people began to discuss what they saw and assumed that most likely Jan Van Hans became a robber or a pirate.

Cape Town

Cape Town As you understand, our daughter Rada got married and moved to live in Cape Town. Rada and her husband at that time were just building up for life in Cape Town, they bought a house at the foot of the mountain with the formidable name Devil's Peak. In the next post, I will tell you a story about this mountain. This area is known as the windiest in the city and we immediately felt it. We flew from winter to summer and the whole world was upside down if you imagine where Ukraine is. Before our eyes, a view of the port of Cape Town was opened from the terrace, and the wind blew its head. I was terribly scared, it seemed to me that the house would be swept into the ocean. But soon we got used so much that when we returned home a month later, we were terribly lacking the sound of the wind at night, like the sound of an engine after a cruise. Кейптаун. Как вы поняли, наша дочь Рада вышла замуж и переехала жить в Кейптаун. Рада и ее муж в то время толь

First time in Cape Town.

First time in Cape Town. Now for you, my friends, new interesting stories will begin that completely change our life later on! We will go with you from Odessa to the other side of the globe, we will fly to Cape Town! During the New Year and Christmas holidays, I managed to go on vacation and we decided to go to Cape Town. We were not preparing for the trip, just our daughter Rada Binovska decided to pick us up from that terribly unpleasant situation, which was not only in the country but also in our gallery. No one had special funds for the trip, but we did it and did not regret it. How it was on time, and how important it was that we were able to change the situation then! When I got off the airplane, I immediately ran into the fauna of this blessed country - on the pavement right at the exit from the Airport I saw an incredible cockroach on the ground. It was fun! Entering the land of South Africa, I felt that it was my home. The feeling cannot be conveyed. Sun

"Snow show" of Slava Polunin.

"Snow show" of Slava Polunin. Before the story of the "Snow Show", I planned to tell you about the problems that arose in the gallery, but now I decided to omit this very sad and unpleasant part of my life. The only thing I add to this is that it was very difficult for us morally during this period of our lives. December in Odessa, the weather is nasty, there is no snow and the city is gray and sad, as sad as we are. At this time, when our nerves were exhausted due to the attack s of chain dogs launched by a new boss of the port, we attended with Radu to the "Snow Show" by Slava Polunin. We sat fascinated by the events taking place on the stage. Our hearts thawed under the warmth of feelings pouring into our souls. It was incredibly beautiful and not forgotten. At the end of the show, when at the moment the lights were turned off and then the audience was very brightly lit, snow began to fall, everyone screamed in delight in amazement, and I

41 years old, we met with Radu

41 years old, we met with Radu Yesterday, April 22, we had a celebration with Radu, 41 years old, from the moment we met. Met and never parted. And in 2004, we had the anniversary of the 25th anniversary of married life. In that year, saturated with very negative events, our daughter Sylvia decided to make us the surprise. Secretly from us, she booked a table in the Sabansky restaurant, we were allocated a separate room. At the end of the gala dinner, at the exit of the restaurant, we were waiting for a wedding limousine, respectively decorated, and we were solemnly taken to the hotel in front of an amazing audience. This has never happened in our life. The surprise was a success! We didn’t celebrate our wedding magnificently, but here it is. Thanks to our adventure and holiday-rich girls. PS. I want to add one more detail to the story, like a cherry on a holiday cake - at this time our apartment was undergoing renovations, and we got a wonderful opportunity
