Moving to Noordhoek.

Image
Moving to Noordhoek I don’t remember the exact date, but it seems to me that in July Rada and Greg sold their house and bought a new one in a wonderful place called Noordhoek. Of course, we helped with the move. I remember the first time a car arrived with their things and I was left in the house with little Charlotte in her arms. There was no furniture yet and we sat with it on bags with things and waited until the move was completed. Immediately after they tripled in a new place, Greg decided to go to China on a business trip and invited our Rada to go with him. They left and we stayed at the house with the children. Upon his return, we do not know the details, Greg decided to leave our daughter. This is probably what is called a midlife crisis, but for our daughter, it was a real shock. She was still breastfeeding Charlotte, who, as I remember, was only 5 months old – and here is the news. We gave all our soul and love to support our daughter in this unforeseen situation Переезд в Н

African Nature. Small Five. Buffalo weaver.

Image
Buffalo Weaver is a close relative of the common sparrow. I must say frankly that neither in appearance nor in behaviour he looks like a buffalo. But, you see, I wonder where he got such a name! Why is the buffalo? And why a weaver? Birds got their name as a weaver due to their extraordinary ability to build nests from plant fibres. Masterfully woven dwellings, they strive to arrange somewhere higher, on tall acacias, around telegraph poles and even on power supports. Buffalo Weaver Red-billed buffalo weavers (Bubarlornis niger) are social birds that build their nests on the forked branches of tall trees. They nest in open colonies and are quite noisy and busy places. Weavers’ nests are recognizable by their rather filthy condition, made of coarse grass and unkempt branches. The birds live in a large colony in a collective house, which is constantly looked after: repaired, completed and rebuilt, so it serves them for many years. Their voluminous, haystack-like tenement dwellings are a

Cape town life. Range Rover drive. Wineland

An acquaintance of our daughter invited her to an advertising test drive of the Range Rover. She failed and provided this opportunity to us. The trip was exciting, we drove along the wine route, we were treated to food on the way, and we had the opportunity to meet new people. But all these acquaintances were only for the duration of this trip - Cape Towns do not really like to get close to strangers. I bring a photo report of the trip to your attention.

Cape Town life. Hout Bay. Fresh tuna.

HOUT BAY On Saturdays, we usually have a day off. On weekends we take a break from each other. Every time we are given such an opportunity, we try to use it for new discoveries and travels. The advantage of our area of Fresnaye, where we rented an apartment, is that it is very easy and short-term for us to get to Hot Bay. These places were perhaps the first to be discovered by Europeans. The facts show that in 1607 the British ship Consent got into the harbour and the captain landed the boatswain in order for him to reconnoitre the surroundings. The boatswain did not return for a very long time and everyone decided that something bad had happened to him. At the end, when the ship was already de-anchored, the boatswain appeared. Since then, his name, and his name was Chapman, named the bay and the road, perhaps one of the most beautiful mountain roads - Chapman's Peak. Hot Bay is a fishing village and it has a beautiful promenade with boats that take tourists to see seals, a souve
