Linea Art Fair, Ghent, Belgium

Image
Linea Art Fair, Gent, Belgium There was another very interesting event that took place in the same year- the participation of the Maritime Gallery in the European Line Art Gent festival in Belgium.  Fulfilling the order for painting in Brugge at the Hotel de Medici, Radu and I did not live in an ordinary hotel room, we stay in a guest house, where on the ground floor was located office. It was there that I found in the promotional materials the booklet of the Expo-Belgian Exhibition Company.  Among various industrial exhibitions, I found the Linea Art Fair. I brought the booklet with me to Odessa and my daughter Rada and I wrote a letter there. We were answered and sent the conditions for participation in the fair. I showed them to Nikolai Pavluk, and he, being an extraordinary person, immediately agreed that the gallery will take part in this event.  Imagine the incredible difficulties with the delivery of paintings from Ukraine, this company would most likely be imp

GALLERY - SPONSORS AND CONTACTS. Varna Navil Art Gallery- Odessa Maritime Gallery

GALLERY - SPONSORS AND CONTACTS As soon as I started talking about organizing the work of the gallery, that is, about cooperation with artists, I’ll say that with all the similarities in the principles of the work of gallery owners, there are certainly differences. Of course, no master of all secrets will ever reveal, but the Navilart gallery worked only for the first year, and with my six-year experience, contact with Svetlana arose naturally and, I believed, would be mutuall y beneficial and mutually beneficial for both of us.  Светла Тухчиева gallery belongs to the company, it is fundamentally important. The company takes a business-like approach to the activities of its gallery, realizing that this is, first of all, advertising for entrepreneurship, a special image, hence the special attention and care for "its gallery", its financing.  In our activity, we had to be independent, not wanting to “shoulder” the head of the Odessa Port, Nikolai Panteleimonovich Pavly

A new period in my painting.

A new period in my painting. After moving to a new space, together with a beautiful gallery, I found a new place, which became my art studio. It was a small corner in the office of the gallery but had a huge window overlooking the sea. How many wonderful hours I spent there, and how many new artworks I created. After the darkness of the studio at Uyutnaya, I finally got a wonderful light. In my paintings, I always looked for what I liked — beauty, juiciness, and enthusiasm f or being. And what in Odessa can be more beautiful than beaches, girls and yachts. I created a series of works on this topic, which then flowed smoothly into a series called “HEAT” and I will talk about this later — and now I bring to your attention- Odessa, beaches and girls! Новый период в моей живописи. Переселившись в новое помещение, вместе с прекрасной галереей я обрела новое место, которое стало моей студией. Это был небольшой уголок в офисной части галереи, но имел огромное окно с видом на

Henk Osterhout.

Henk Osterhout Today I will tell you about another amazing person whom I was lucky to meet on my life's journey. His name is Henk Osterhout. Henk was invited from Holland as a member of the international jury of the "Marina- 98" Biennale. Henk absolutely does not look like a European mired in contentment and indifference, he was incredible. At that time he was already in his fifties, and he could allow himself to be completely free. Jogging down the street, depicting an aeroplane flying or hearing music spin in a dance! Later I had the opportunity to get to know him better and learn a lot from his life, but more on that later in my time ... Seeing the chess set carved out of wood for the first time presented by Igor Ivchenko at the exhibition, Hank decided to establish his own prize and announced his intention. As a prize, he invited Igor and his wife Ira to Holland, and also organized a trip to Paris with a visit to Disney Land !! He said and did, and n

Continuation of the story of a trip to Varna.

Continuation of the story of a trip to Varna. To this day, I regret that I did not buy in Varna at least a small work by the artist Svetlin Nenov , one of the winners of the "Marina 98" contest. The fact is that later, a few years later, I found sponsors to organize his exhibition in the Marine Gallery. Svetla Tukhchieva told me that Svetlin, and he was really an unusually bright man, left his painting classes and went to the monastery. But now he is with us and you can get acqu ainted with his work on his page on FB!  The second winner of the competition at the Marina 98 Biennale, that is, the first to take first place, was also the Bulgarian artist Ivan Georgiev, a real marine painter. At the beginning of his journey, he was a captain and successfully engaged in painting. Bulgaria is proud of this artist, and we had the opportunity to visit his amazing workshop, built by his own hands and very similar to a large cabin. It was said that Ivan came to the workshop ever

Varna. Bulgaria Immediately after the opening of the gallery and after the announcement of the results of the competition of the Biennale "Marina-98" adventure awaited us! Exhibition of Odessa artists in the gallery Navil Art In September, a wonderful ferry trip to Varna took place to present the exhibition of the winners of "Marina 1998" in the Navil Art Gallery. Thanks to our acquaintance with the Светла Тухчиева family, we were able to organ ize a trip to Varna for the winners of Marina. The sponsor of Marina and this exhibition was Alexander Kurland company Ukrferry, it was he who helped us organize this event and pay expenses. Odessa artists Sergey Driga, Olga Kotlyarova, Nikolay Prokopenko, and Slava Podobed went to Bulgaria. It was not the first time for all of them, except Driga, to travel and present their work abroad. And I was responsible for everything that happened. Having passed all the necessary formalities, we plunged and went to sea. So

http://binovskaya.com/?orderby=date It is with great pleasure that I announce the beginning of my new series of works entitled “People of the World”. I really like to paint portraits, but I was never happy with the size. Now I have come to make large-size drawings and this has opened up new incredible opportunities for me! I also want to add that each of you can be represented in my series, I accept orders!

Presentation of the Odessa Sea Port Maritime Art Gallery

Image
Presentation of the Odessa Sea Port  Art Gallery And finally, on May 30, 1998, the Maritime Gallery of the Odesa Port was presented and in the same year I became a “port lady” - then it sounded proud to me! I remember Nikolai Panteleimonovich asked me if I was ready for this, what could I answer? It was a real fairy tale embodied in life! And I believe even now that it is no coincidence, and in our city, in our country, this brightest place in the world should simply have appeared - the Maritime Gallery, the gallery of the highest spirituality, the place where the light comes from. Everyone knows that. I want to believe that this light is unquenchable, because it is precisely what people need so much today, and we, who have dedicated our lives to this wonderful mission, will carry it with honor as much as we can ... The gallery was presented to the second Marina Biennale "Marina 1998". There was a lot of work behind it and it was difficult for us to do with the&quo

Gallery Sponsors

Image
Gallery Sponsors Biennale "Marina 98" promised to be respectable. In the new environment, work to attract sponsors was more important.  Before the relocation, the Maritime Gallery had a wonderful relationship with Odessa Maritime Companies, among them was the most beloved Sovmortrans company, which for many years was led by Valery Shcherbina , a man who never refused to help us. I began to establish contacts with other companies, with those who were directly in the port. Thus, preparing for the upcoming biennale and knowing how much we need so that everything goes at the highest level, I turned to Inflot.   It was a very sad story. I made an appointment and I was received by chief Oleg Chalenko.  Mr. Chalenko was a true representative of the leaders of the Soviet regime.  He spoke to me very, very rudely - he said that since Nikolai Pavlik gave shelter to the gallery, let him pay for everything.  I still don’t understand why he agreed to meet with me, because he c

A friend among strangers, a stranger among his friends

A friend among strangers, a stranger among his friends.   Please do not think that the decision to go under the wing of the port was easy for me. Not at all like that.  I was a free person and under these circumstances, I lost these freedoms and not only that. Those companies, friends, and sponsors, previously understood the importance of the support to the gallery, they provided and helped us from time to time. Now the Gallery has become officially the production unit of the Odessa port. Yes, of course, our premises were incredible. Neither Kyiv nor Europe could have boasted such exhibition venues in the 90s.  I perfectly understood that we had to pay for everything and for a start I had a real plan on how to implement this. Taking part in exhibitions held at the Sea Terminal, I studied the earning strategy at these exhibitions and it seemed to me that the Biennale I created would be the first step in the development of the gallery as a port gallery. But, unfortunately, i

1998 Moving to our Odessa Art Port Odessa Art Gallery
