August week in Limassol. My communication difficulties.
Everything is going as usual – the heat continues, I'm working on two pieces, and I'm waiting for the exhibition to open. A funny thing happened, and I decided to share the situation with you.
The gallery owner sent an invitation to the exhibition opening along with a poster. As usual, I shared them on my social media. Then a few days ago, a highly respected woman who has lived in Cyprus for many years wrote to me in the evening. She is Ukrainian and does extensive work with the Ukrainian community. She wrote to me that after my ad was published, her friends had pointed out to her that the woman the gallery had announced for the opening could be violent and troublesome. I was, of course, very upset, because I only agreed to the exhibition after checking that the gallery had no enemy connections. I was upset, but that morning I wrote to the gallery owner and shared my concerns. And just imagine, in a small town, on a small island, there were two ladies—complete namesakes—one a lover of the Russian world and Putin from Moldova, and the other a respected lawyer in Cyprus. And I'll definitely meet her at the exhibition opening! I'm posting photos of the determined woman!
