Next Stop- Nesebar, Bulgaria. 2018

Image
Nessebar. The next stop on my journey was the Bulgarian town of Nesebar. I really liked this town and now, when I have been living in forced immigration in Cyprus for the second year and getting acquainted with the culture of the island, I can say that the villages and buildings of Cyprus remind me of Nessebar. Nesebar is an ancient city and one of the largest seaside resorts on the Bulgarian Black Sea coast, located in the Burgas region. Nessebar, often referred to as the “Pearl of the Black Sea”, is a rich museum town with over three millennia of ever-changing history. The small city consists of two parts, separated by a narrow man-made isthmus, with the ancient part of the settlement on the peninsula (formerly the island) and the more modern part, hotels, and later developments on the mainland side. The older part bears evidence of occupation by various civilizations throughout its existence. It is one of the most famous tourist destinations and seaports on the Black Sea and has bec...

Cappadocia tour. The First Stop - Varna, Golden Sands, Bulgaria 2018

Image
. http:// http://binovskaya.com/first-stop-golden-sands-bulgaria/ The first place of our tour was Golden Sands (Bulgarian: Zlatni pyasatsi, Zlatni pyasatsi) – a large sea resort town on the northern Bulgarian Black Sea coast, adjacent to the national park of the same name in the municipality of Varna. Located 17 km north of the center of Varna, it is practically connected to the city by a continuous strip of resorts and cottage settlements. It is a popular tourist destination, attracting many visitors from Romania, Ukraine, Poland, Germany, Great Britain, Russia, Scandinavia, France, Central and Eastern Europe, the Persian Gulf, Israel and other countries. I have already been to Varna with an exhibition of Odessa artists, winners of the International Biennale “Marina-98”. We were hosted by the wonderful gallery Navil Art and its owner Svetla Tukhchiva. Remained memory, gratitude and these memories. http://binovskaya.com/gallery-sponsors-and-contacts/ http://binovskaya.com/exhibition-of...

Ode to my House of Sientists. Odesa, Ukraine. 2023

Image
Who in Odessa does not know the House of Scientists? There are clearly none. And everyone has their own stories associated with this place. My relationship with this magnificent mansion began when I studied at the Odessa Art College, which was just one block away. Every day before classes, my mother gave me one ruble for lunch. I tried to study well and received a scholarship of 20 rubles, so I practically justified my expenses. On that. Ruble, you could have a luxurious meal in the dining room of the House of Scientists. The dining halls were located in the Walnut Drawing Room and downstairs in the basement, everything depended on where there were empty seats. A luxurious meal, of course, was in the stunning living room with its bulging dark brown wallpaper, the kind that you can hardly find anywhere now, but I remember them by touch. After 4 morning classes, I often in the company of one of my friends, who was running out of money for food sent from home, merrily hurried to lunch. At...

https://youtu.be/VvhusUay2xU https://youtu.be/VvhusUay2xU And now the ordinary life in our beloved city ends and we begin our journey to fabulous Cappadocia! I confess to you – I watch Brazilian TV series and do it while I am working on a picture. I need someone to talk to me while I work. And in TV shows, when you know who looks like, it’s easy. At that time, I came across the Brazilian TV series “Save Me St. George” and I fell in love with the extraordinary place described by the film, this is Cappadocia! I fell in love so much that I began to dream of getting there and not just dreaming, but making serious plans, especially when I found out that you can fly in a hot air balloon there, my dream became the main one and it came true! I found myself on a wonderful bus tour directly from Odesa, through Moldova, Bulgaria to Turkey, and back through Romania to Ukraine. And I will be happy to share my notes and photos with you. Tравень, 2018 Каппадокiя. А тепер закінчується звичайне життя в...
