Березень 2026. Лімассол. Війна на сході.

Почалася нова війна на сході, і вона може торкнутися і нас на Кіпрі. Але поки що все спокійно.

Кажуть, що першого дня над морем було збито дві ракети, але хто знає. Потім виявили шахед над аеропортом у Пафосі. Вдень я чула звук винищувача.

Я цей звук знаю, тому що в 2022, коли ми жили в Акрунті, я бачила цей літак на власні очі — він був дуже гучним. Найцікавіше для мене самої виявилося те, що порівняно з тим страхом, який я відчувала на ранок 24 лютого в Одесі, мені зовсім не страшно. Ми, тепер заочно навчені чужим досвідом наших співгромадян в Україні, знаємо про шахеди та балістику. До того ж ми живемо на землі, на першому поверсі, і ми на острові. І від сюди тікати абсолютно не куди. Та й якби було кудись навіщо? Ми у такому віці, що вже змирилися з нашою долею. Отже, що буде, буде. Приймемо свою долю спокійно.

They say that on the first day two missiles were shot down over the sea, but who knows. Then a shaheed was discovered over the airport in Paphos. In the afternoon I heard the sound of a fighter jet.

I know this sound, because in 2022, when we lived in Akrun, I saw this plane with my own eyes - it was very loud. The most interesting thing for me was that compared to the fear that I felt on the morning of February 24 in Odessa, I am not afraid at all. We, now taught in absentia by someone else's experience of our fellow citizens in Ukraine, know about shaheeds and ballistics. Besides, we live on the ground, on the first floor, and we are on an island. And there is absolutely nowhere to run from here. And even if there was somewhere, why would we? We are at such an age that we have already come to terms with our fate. So, whatever will be, will be. Let's accept our fate calmly.
