Cyclamens in Cyprus

Cyprus is covered with blooming cyclamens, one of the most beautiful wildflowers on the island.
There are three species of these flowers on the island: Cypriot, Persian and Greek.

Flora lovers can find the plant in most of Cyprus, except for the central plain of Solea, from Akamas and Troodos to Pentadaktylos. It grows at an altitude of 50 to 1,100 meters.
All species of cyclamens are protected by the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora. It is forbidden to pick their flowers, as this can cause irreparable damage to the entire biodiversity of the island. Therefore, it is best to simply admire the plants in their natural habitat and take photos for memory.
