Maritime Art Gallery  Exhibition by  Petro Lebedynets I don’t remember exactly where I met Peter for the first time, perhaps during the gallery's participation at the Art Kiev festival. I remember how I visited the holy of holies, in the art studio of the master of abstract painting. His artworks are filled with warmth, light, the energy of life, and love for the world, it is this essence that the artist's brush puts into each creation, which he himself calls a living organism. What struck me very, very much in the studio and remains in my memory to this day is an extraordinary purity. While working, Peter covers the studio floor with a huge sheet of cellophane and removes it upon completion of the work. Peter seemed to me to be a very balanced and calmly pacified person and we developed wonderful friendly relations that allowed me to invite him to participate in our Sea Ocean project in Hamburg, as well as to the gallery with a personal exhibition. Hamburg. Purchase of Dali and Chagall I completely forgot to share with you my story about how, at the request of one of the gallery's clients, I purchased graphics in the original by Salvador Dali, Picasso, and Chagall! It was a very interesting story. When I took part in the Art Festival in Ghent, I met a gallerist from Germany who was selling graphic sheets of world-famous artists. Before traveling to Hamburg for the opening of the Sea Ocean exhibition, I contacted him and agreed to purchase some of the works. The most interesting thing about this was that the transaction did not take place in the gallery, in the proper atmosphere, we made it right in the pickup truck in which the gallery owner arrived. At that time it was not yet possible to communicate on the Internet, so the client had to rely on my taste. Here are the works that were purchased. And this again proves how much more convenient it is to sell graphics - try to import a canvas by Dali or Chagall into another count...

Maritime Art Gallery . Exhibition by Yvon Thailandier. France Yvon Thailande was born in 1926, and our exhibition was in 2008. So Yvon himself came to our gallery at the age of 82! And he was, it can be noted, very energetic and friendly! When I had a farm in the heart of France, in Auvergne, I watched with admiration the rural labour. Now that I no longer have it, I still think, I am not a kind of "hardworking peasant" who grows images on paper, on which he draws on a canvas that he paints, or on cardboard from which he creates various objects. I am attracted to light shapes, so I prefer to make sculptures out of cardboard rather than stone or plaster.
