Summer in Limassol. June 2025

Summer has arrived, yes. At 6 pm the temperature is 33 degrees. This year the summer has spared us. Last year it started not in mid-June, but in April and lasted until October. I am slowly adapting. It used to seem impossible to me to go for walks in the summer, but now I have found a window! I get up at 6 am and go for a long walk, then to my beach and swim. I try to change my schedule and change my rituals every day. One day – yoga and swimming, the next day – promenade and swimming. The sea here is not our Black, it is saltier and it holds. You don’t expect it to. Now I understand those who hang far from the shore and just hang there. And I swim and count my strokes. This allows me more time in the sea! I have been learning Greek with Duolingo for the second year. As before, there is no one to talk to. I only hear Greek when I’m driving and I already have some familiar songs.
