I told you that my 2003 in Cape Town started off very successfully. Immediately upon arrival, I had an order for Zebra, which I successfully completed, and then another order appeared. A young couple from Germany lived in Rada's guesthouse, they were surfers and smoked weed very often! The smell was spreading throughout the area.

They came to me with an offer to buy some of my works. For the show, I had to take down all the works that had accumulated in Noordhoek from the mezzanine. It was nice - I remembered the time when I showed my works to clients in the gallery.

They didn't like anything. And then I offered to paint them portraits. I imagined a work with wet surfers in droplets of water and offered them to pose. But everything turned out differently than I imagined. They just got dressed up and we went to Noordhoek beach.

Я вам розповідала, що мій 2003 рік у Кейптауні почався дуже успішно.
Відразу ж після приїзду на мене чекало замовлення на Зебр, яке я успішно виконала, а потім з'явилося ще одне замовлення.
У гестхаусі у Ради жила молода пара з Німеччини, вони були серферами і часто курили травку! Запах розносився територією.
Вони прийшли до мене з пропозицією купити якусь із моїх робіт. Для шоу мені довелося знімати з антресолей усі роботи, які зібралися в Нордоку. Це було приємно – я згадала час, коли я показувала роботи у клієнтах у галереї.
Їм нічого не сподобалося. Тоді я запропонувала їм написати портрети. Я уявила собі роботу з мокрими, у крапельках води серферами та запропонувала їм попозувати.
Але все вийшло не так, як я собі уявила. Вони просто одяглися і ми пішли на пляж Нордока.

"The Last Tango" Art Project, by Tatyana Binovska Vera Kholodnaya was a real star of silent cinema and photographs with her image came out in mass print runs. The exhibition featured more than 200 photographs. Vadim Vadimovich Kostromenko, the permanent director of the Odessa Film Studio Cinema Museum, gave us several boxes with an old film. We pulled a fishing line throughout the gallery, hung files with legends about the life and death of V.Kholodnaya on it. You know, it turned out that it is very important that our viewers are very fond of reading, and later on at the next exhibitions I used this feature. The Cinema Museum provided a camera and a projector for use at the time.  The centre of the hall, so modern and cold, we separated with a thin muslin, which became the border between the past and the present.
