2006 Events and dreams happening today.

Image
2006  Events and dreams  happening today, just need to be recorded! Probably, it all began long before this day, and everything that is happening, I’m sure, is no coincidence. Therefore, I will start from the very beginning. Last year, after the fears that arose after trying to capture the gallery subsided in my soul, sensations began to come to me that the world should change. Technological progress has reached perfection. People have made their world so comfortable that they are  completely satisfied with their laziness. But the mentality of primitive man, living according to the laws of the jungle, still overwhelms the souls of mankind. When everything changes, I asked myself. It is necessary that there would be a movement that will change the inner world of a person and not make money, through the destruction of their own kind will become a measure of morality. I thought about the need for a leader, one who will lead the world in a completely new direction. Aft...

Self-portrait in the Khoza tribe outfit.

Self-portrait in the Khoza tribe outfit. When I got to Africa, I was sincerely struck by the beauty of the Africans. It has been giving me a real pleasure to admire very different and such beautiful people. And to paint them, this is generally something completely new and not familiar. When you paint a portrait of a non-African, I know by heart which colors to take and how to mix them. And now I needed experiments. In addition, in the early years, I did not have any experience communicating with my future models. In South Africa, it’s a common thing that Africans are hired for housework. In Cape Town, more than 80 percent of the indigenous population are members of the KHOZA tribe. I later found out that they were not the first settlers of the Cape Peninsula, here are the slurries of the Khoi-Khoi and San tribes (they were called Bushmen). Africans do not accept borders, they constantly migrate in search of a better life, and this is happening even now. So, in the house of my daughter,...

Benjamin Balfour Binovsky We flew from Odessa to Cape Town via Kiev, and we had time in Kiev - all day waiting for the flight. We were able to meet with the wonderful artist ceramist @Nelly Isupova in her magic studio, as well as visit the art studio of @Anatoly Krivolap, a stunning Ukrainian artist, where the incomparable Olga Petrova invited us. It was frost and snow — real winter, and we knew that very, very soon we would be in a real paradise called Cape Town. In Odessa, we had to leave our dog, Elsie, at the dog's hotel. We knew that a long-awaited surprise awaits us in Cape Town, our daughter Rada will give us our first grandson - our little sun-bunny Benjamin. We arrived in Cape Town on March 6, in the evening, we went to the Water Front in a big company and had a very good time in one of the wonderful restaurants. By the way, it seems to me that it was on that evening that I first tried the crocodile! And at night, Rada and her husband went to the clin...

The 2006 year.

Image
The 2006 year. As you know, for us the opportunity to fly to Cape Town again was the most cherished dream. But this time it had to be moved a little in time. Our daughter Rada was waiting for the birth of her son, our first grandson. And so we moved our vacation and trip to the month of March. It was difficult because to live knowing that somewhere the sun, smiles, and the blue smelling ocean, being in gray and boring winter Odessa was honestly unbearable. But we continued to work and here is the announcement of all the events of the Maritime Art Gallery for 2006! 2006 год.

Tatyana Binovskaya’s art project "Ah Africa" at the 2006 Maritime Art Gallery.

Tatyana Binovskaya’s art project "Ah Africa" at the 2006 Maritime Art Gallery. Once having been in Africa, I really wanted to share all my impressions with Odessa residents and guests of our city. The wintertime in the gallery is very quiet. Its location is not conducive to walking, it is very cold and windy at the Sea Port Terminal. I never claimed for the best months in the gallery and decided to make my exhibition at the very moment of stagnation. Imagine the halls of the gallery, which are surrounded on three sides by the frozen sea - that year it was completely covered with ice. And there is in the gallery real AFRICA! I lit the entire space of the gallery with warm yellow lights, turning off the upper cold office light! Only the paintings had their own special highlight. Guests arrived at the presentation and ended up in Africa. The gallery shone, sang the voices of African students, the sounds of tom-toms poured from the gallery directly into the winter sea. M...

My first African portraits.

Image
My first African portraits. I prepared the first African portraits for the "Ah, Africa" project. Among them is the little girl "Nosipho", and the boy "Simpive". The girl "Nosiphe" now lives in Lviv in the collection of the wonderful artist Serhiy Savchenko . My "Simpive" ended up in an orphanage. During the exhibition, I was contacted by an orphanage in Odessa and invited to see a collection of paintings by Odessa artists, which they collected for educational purposes. Then I decid ed to bring my participation in this wonderful project, and so my African boy ended up in an orphanage, I hope he is well there! My "Flower Girl" proudly takes place in the life of my favorite collectors in Odesa. My painting "AH, Africa" recently joined her company. My "Lovers" while they live with us. I have not yet told you about the new technique that I used when working on this project. At that time, a ...

140 Anniversary of Odessa Art College Exhibition in Maritime Art Gallery 2005

Tatyana Binovskaya ‎   to   LIFE STORIES 1 min  ·  This exhibition was organized at the initiative of an extraordinary small, very beautiful woman, Nadezhda Dekeremengi, a teacher at  ОГХУ им.М.Б.Грекова I met her at a time when the school was once again subjected to a raider attack. This time, the creator of the Kyiv National Institute of Culture and Arts, Mr Mikhail Poplavsky, tried to capture him. The school is too well located and therefore becomes a target for raider attacks. We with Nadezhda and other teachers and journalists organized a confrontation and were able to stop this process. Unfortunately, Nadezhda could not stand that terrible pressure and soon passed away.
