The last significant event in the gallery was the auction of Odessa painting, as the organizers called it, the first auction dedicated to the centenary of Izdebsky's salons.
The auction clearly showed that there are no people in Odessa who are ready to openly buy works of art. There are individual collectors who have collected a certain number of works, and everyone has one desire - to sell them, although none of them will come to acquire them through a gallery or at an auction - everyone who has a desire will try to get them cheaper.

Последним знаменательным событием в галерее стал аукцион одесской живописи, как назвали его устроители- первый аукцион, посвященный столетию салонов Издебского.
Аукцион наглядно показал, что в Одессе нет людей готовых открыто покупать произведения искусства. Есть отдельные коллекционеры, собравшие какое-то количество работ, и у всех одно желание - их продать, хотя никто из них не придет приобретать их через галерею или на аукционе - все кто имеет желание, будут стараться хотят взять подешевле.

VERA KHOLODNAYA I perfectly understand that my short stories are much easier to read, but sometimes it takes me more time to talk about the interesting things that happened in my life and in my gallery. So ask, I will highlight several publications for this material. This is about my author’s project dedicated to the memory of silent film actress Vera Kholodnaya. I called it - "Last Tango" It seems to me that the dignity and greatness of every nation is to preserve cultural values. At all times, rulers, politicians wrote their own history for the people. At one time, in a Soviet school, we studied Marxist-Leninist aesthetics and built communism, and today our children learn the history of Independent Ukraine. Historical facts are distorted. Only the cultural heritage, names and life stories of interesting people, people of art - artists, actors, musicians remain unforgettable. But the interpretation of their names and meanings changes in the same way as history.
